How to Make Someone a Moderator on TikTok Live
Start Your Live Stream: First and foremost, you need to be live on TikTok. Open the app, tap the "+" icon, and choose "Go Live." Once you're live, you’ll see your stream interface where viewers can join and interact.
Access the Moderator Menu: While you're live, look for the list of viewers on the right side of your screen. There should be a small "settings" or "manage" icon (usually represented by three dots or a cogwheel). Tap this icon to access the settings related to your live stream.
Select 'Manage Moderators': In the settings menu, find the option labeled "Manage Moderators" or something similar. This will lead you to the list of current moderators and the option to add new ones.
Choose a New Moderator: From the list of viewers, select the person you want to make a moderator. You can either search for their username or scroll through the viewer list. Once you find them, tap on their name or profile.
Assign Moderator Role: After selecting the viewer, you will see an option to "Make Moderator" or "Assign Role." Confirm this action, and the person will be granted moderator privileges.
Confirm Changes: Make sure to confirm any prompts that appear to finalize the addition. The new moderator should now have the ability to manage comments, report inappropriate content, and help oversee the chat.
Monitor the Moderator’s Activity: Keep an eye on your new moderator's performance to ensure they are effectively managing the chat. If needed, you can always adjust their role or remove them if they are not meeting expectations.
Update Moderator Settings as Needed: Regularly review and update your moderators based on their performance and any changes in your live stream’s requirements. Having the right people in the moderator role is crucial for maintaining a positive environment during your broadcasts.
By following these steps, you can effectively manage your TikTok Live sessions and ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all viewers.
