How to Unlink Your TikTok Account from Business to Personal
Open the TikTok App: Launch the TikTok app on your mobile device and log in to your account if you aren’t already logged in.
Go to Your Profile: Tap on the Profile icon located at the bottom right of the screen to access your account.
Access Settings: In your profile, tap the three lines or dots in the top right corner to open the Settings and Privacy menu.
Account Management: In the settings menu, find and select Account Management or Manage Account.
Switch to Personal Account: Under Account Management, look for an option like Switch to Personal Account or Switch to Personal Profile. Tap on this option.
Confirm Your Choice: TikTok will ask you to confirm that you want to switch back to a personal account. Confirm your choice.
Review Your Account: After confirming, TikTok will revert your account settings. You may lose access to certain business features and insights, but you will gain access to features available to personal accounts.
Check Your Profile: Verify that your profile has been updated to a personal account by checking for the absence of business tools and features.
Important Notes:
- Switching to a personal account means you will lose access to analytics and advertising tools previously available in a business account.
- Ensure that any business-related content or promotions are addressed before making the switch, as these features will no longer be available.
- If you encounter any issues during the process, you can contact TikTok’s support team for assistance.
By following these steps, you can easily revert your TikTok account from a business profile back to a personal one, allowing you to use the app in a more casual and less commercially focused manner.
